Who Am I Becoming in This New Season?

Have you ever had a moment where you looked at your life and thought, “Things have really changed… but I’m not sure I’ve changed with it yet”?

If so, you’re not alone.

A while ago, I was speaking with someone I coach, and she said something that really touched me.

She said, “I don’t recognise myself anymore. Everything around me has moved on, but I feel stuck between who I was and who I’m supposed to be now.”

Her children were older and gone.

Her routine wasn’t the same.

Her work responsibilities had shifted.

And suddenly she felt like she was standing in the middle of a new chapter with the old version of herself.

And honestly… how many of us have been there?

“Woman standing at sunrise, looking toward the horizon.”

The truth is this:

Every new season requires a new version of us.

And even when the change is good, the becoming can feel unfamiliar.

Identity evolves.

It grows.

It stretches.

And sometimes it quietly changes while we’re busy living life.

You see it when the children leave home and the house feels different.

You see it when you step into a new role at work and people suddenly look to you for direction.

You see it when life slows down long enough for you to actually hear your own thoughts again.

You see it when God nudges you into a chapter you didn’t plan for but somehow need.

And let’s be honest — it can feel strange.

Exciting, yes… but still unfamiliar.

That doesn’t mean something is wrong.

It often means transformation is happening.

So how do you navigate who you’re becoming?

Start by giving yourself permission to grow without having everything figured out.

Ask yourself:

  • What actually matters to me in this season of my life?

  • What part of me have I put aside that I now feel called to revisit?

  • What new thing am I being nudged toward, even if it feels unfamiliar?

Allow your inner world time to catch up with the changes happening around you.

And don’t pressure yourself to make giant leaps — just one brave step is enough.

Maybe it’s speaking up where you’d usually stay quiet.

Maybe it’s trying something new that stretches you.

Maybe it’s saying “yes” to an opportunity you’ve been delaying.

Growth begins with willingness, not perfection.

Reflection Question

Who is the next version of you that this season is quietly calling forward?

Prayer

If you pray:

“Lord God, help me recognise who I am becoming. Give me clarity in this transition, strength for the unfamiliar, and peace as I grow into the person You’ve designed me to be.”

Confidence Mantra

I am evolving, expanding, and becoming who I was created to be.

If this message speaks to where you are right now and you’re ready to step into your next chapter with clarity and confidence, I would love to support you on that journey.

Through my RISE coaching approach, we’ll work together to help you rediscover identity, reconnect with purpose, strengthen resilience, and elevate your confidence for the season ahead.
